Social Organization 

Through social guidance, NRSP brings the rural poor into the organized fold of community organization (CO). A  CO is a forum at which community members (20-30 households) meet regularly to discuss issues, chalk out plans  and arrive at decisions by consensus. This enables them to undertake and sustain village level development activities  on their own.

Human Resource Development 

NRSP Bahawal Pur get its staff and community members trainds by IRM. NRSP institute of Rural  Management  (IRM) believes in building the human capital through their capacity building and has  put up deligent  efforts, training  more then 100,000 people of the community and staff. Both the staff and the  community training are conducted for NRSP, RSPs and other organizations. These include managerial, micro enterprise, natural resource  management  type of training for the community while, for staff it includes communication, presentation, group  dynamics, training  of trainers and creating high performance. Abiding by the  principles of participatory  development, NRSP IRM follows the holistic and need based approach when designing  and conducting any training either for the community  and the staff.

Microfinance & Enterprise Development Program

The credit programme of NRSP enables the communities to undertake their development plans as identified, in their  portfolio of opportunities. It enables CO members to increase their capital for establishing or expanding income  generating activities. Credit is mainly being availed for the purchase of live-stock agriculture inputs, land  development and various small enterprises.

Physical Infrastructure & Technology 

NRSP assists communities to build and manage physical infrastructure such as drinking water supply schemes, link  roads, and water resources development i.e, lining of water channels, lift irrigation, etc. The  community shares the  cost by providing labor and other inputs in kind. It also operates and maintains the project  after completion.

Social Sector Services 

NRSP acts as an intermediary between communities and various Govt. agencies, NGOs and private sector for  effective delivery of health and education related services. NRSP assists CO members to establish and manage non  formal primary schools. It trains CO members as health workers and teachers. 

Natural Resource Management 

NRSP assists CO members to enhance agricultural productivity throug demonstrations and training. It encourages  and assists them to obtain better varieties of seeds, fruits and forest plants and livestock. It also promotes improved  methods of vaccination of animals, sowing of seed, plantation etc. Most of these activities are undertaken through linkages with government line departments. None of the NRM activities involves use of potentially hazardous  material and none is expected to have any adverse environmental impact in the short or long term.

Monitoring Evaluation & Research 

The MER section constantly assesses the impact and effectiveness of NRSP's activities to ensure that Programme  objectives are being met. For this a strong system of monitoring is in place which provides continuous feedback on  the impact of NRSP's work to the managements and other development partners.

Finance & Accounts 

F&A acts primarily as a support unit for the entire programme. It is a custodian of the NRSP endowment fund. It  also ensures optimal utilization of NRSP resources in a cost effective manner for achieving programme objectives.  F&A also provides technical assistance while formulating future policies.
